Q. What is the repair turnaround time?
A. Typically, approved repairs are completed within 3-5 business days. However, part back orders, high service demand, or specific service requirements could be cause for delay. Please inquire if you would like to request expedited service or rush shipping.
Q. How often should my equipment be serviced?
A. As recommended, equipment should be checked and cleaned approximately every two years. However, depending on frequency and type of use, service may be needed more or less often. Any equipment malfunction, error message, or digital image sensor debris should be checked and serviced as soon as possible.
Q. Can you repair the latest Nikon models?
A. We service almost all Nikon digital camera bodies, lenses, and flash units. Limited service may be initially available for newly introduced models. For specific information, please contact us with your specific model.
Q. Does APS use genuine Nikon parts?
A. Yes. We use genuine Nikon replacement parts sourced directly from Nikon USA. We stock Nikon parts exclusively for service and repair at our facility; we do not sell parts separately.
Q. Should I repair or replace my Nikon equipment?
A. If you are considering replacing your model with the same or similar used model, we strongly suggest servicing rather than replacing. For approximately the same cost, you will have newly cleaned and serviced equipment versus used with an unknown history. In addition, you will have a six month repair warranty from a Nikon Authorized Repair Station.
Q. Does APS ship outside the USA?
A. Yes. A customer pre-paid return shipping label is required to ship to locations outside the USA (50 states) or Canada. Pre-paid return shipping is efficient, cost effective, and gives you the choice of shipper. Please inquire with us for details before sending equipment for repair.
Q. Can APS repair Nikon film cameras and older Nikon equipment?
A. Yes. However, service may be limited to parts availability. Please contact us with your specific model for details.
Q. Do you offer walk-in service?
A. Yes, feel free to stop by our facility anytime during regular business hours. No appointment is needed. We also offer same day digital SLR sensor cleaning at no additional charge for rush service.
Q. What is the APS repair warranty?
A. Our repair warranty is 6 (six) months parts and labor. The repair warranty is limited to service for the original repair or for the same problem only. Warranty coverage is to be determined by APS. Please see warranty details under notices. Learn more
